From São Paulo, Gunstar Music release its new songs. It's an album which intends to make versions of songs of Sega Genesis games, classic from the 90's. The album name is Mega Drive, which is the name of the Sega Genesis in Brazil. In a matter of style, Mega Drive has songs mainly in Rock/Metal style with a lot of Synth sounds but two songs are acoustic-like, even without drums. This album contains the song "Ancient Ruins" of the game Gunstar Heroes, which gave, in 2007, a name for this project Gunstar Music, since this song was produced that year and only in 2013 the other video game tracks were also produced.

The Genevan Psalter project is the new release of Epic Church. This project means to produce versions of the melodies of the Genevan Psalter, a collection of 126 melodies for singing the Psalms of the Bible. The book was organized by Reformed Christians and the melodies were composed between 1539 and 1562, in Geneva, Switzerland, by request of John Calvin. The versions are "Epic Church like" and they clearly sound like the first album tunes. It's available on Youtube, Spotify and Bandcamp.
The final release of the first semester of 2013. The third volume of Extreme will please the ears of the ones who like Folk/Death Metal, Black Metal, Epic Metal and Doom Metal. The highlight goes to the Finns who have a massive participation in this compilation, three bands from the Land of Thousands Lakes. Extreme III starts with the speed and heaviness of Supulcro Vacio in an amazing song named Seres Imortales and it finishes it the experimentalism of Alan Flexa in a Doom-Metal-Like song with progressive elements and a female vocalist with guttural voice.

Summum Bonum is a symphonic dark/black metal band. Formed in 2009 by Harim, the name 'Summum Bonum' is latin and means "supreme good". As one-man-band it released entirely independently its two first works: 'Felix Culpa' EP and 'Um Sonho de Fantasia Nostálgica' MCD using just tones from a keyboard (a Casio CTK-4000!). But now the project has a new member Robson Frederico who has recorded the guitars, bass and drums on the new album titled 'Mors Janua Vitae' (The Death is the Gate of Life).

This band from Armenia was formed in 2001 as Iron Cross, playing in the death/trash style, after some changes the name Blood Covenant was adopted and also the Symphonic Black Metal. Lyrical themes are God and the sacrifice of Jesus. Some of the influeces for the band are Extol, Slechtvalk and Crimson Moonlight.
Organizing this compilation was a very pleasant job. I could meet some guys and I could also listen to some good new music. I consider this compilation a compilation of "Modern Metal" but surely it doesn't mean New Metal and this is the most interesting, I could gather here bands which play a kind of modern metal but without influences of the American New Metal. As typical of Metal Storm, you're going to listen to some Melodic Power Metal but now with some Electronic as extra and a touch of Symphonic/Epic tunes. The compilation starts with the song I consider an excellent work of Power Metal, really one of my favourite songs: Ride of the Valkyries of the band Delpht and it finishes with the great ballad metal of Santuario. There are also some important facts to highlight about this sixth volume: Astralion and Delohim are including their brand new releases, Arctrace is the first band of Singapore to be part of CYBER10 and all the bands representatives were very kind and positive when I offered the idea of being part of a compilation, good guys.

The band was formed in 1998, in Taubaté (São Paulo), by the brothers Thiago Lopes and Vitor Lopes. With more than 10 years of existence, the band developed it's own sound direction, which goes to the Melodic Power Metal with many elements of Prog Metal. The newest release is the single which is included in this compilation: Your Spirit Never Dies.
As another band from São Paulo representing its Power Metal tradition, Delpht started in 1994 but just recorded the first album in 2000. The wait was worthy, Screams of Ice is great release and it's about the story of the viking character Delpht. This name was taken from the Dutch town named Deft, also the birthplace of the famous painter Johannes Vermeer.
Instrumental Metal one-man-project hailing from Finland. Unburied Conception mixes melodies with powerful guitars, being easy to identify influences of metal bands as Angra, Sonata Arctica, Nightwish and at the same time a touch of Hans Zimmer.
In 2002, Costa Rica, Osvaldo Ramos (singer and guitarist) got together with Geovanny Ovares (drummer) to form the band Evrock, what would later become Santuario. After some years, many concerts and even some member changes, Santuario became known in the metal scene of its country, taking part of important festivals. It's easy to see that they are well influenced by classical and symphonic music and also like to experiment new ideas.

Soul Source started in 2002 and in the early of 2003 they took part in a contest called “Young Metal Gods” held by at this point major German label called Noiserecords. Soul Source were voted to be one the Top5 metal demobands in Europe. The band takes the energy of the Power Metal to the extreme, combining it with good melodies.
Revontulet is a female fronted Symphonic Metal band from Moscow, Russia. The music of Revontulet combines enchanting mezzo-soprano of Alexandra, powerful rhythm section, complex orchestral arrangements and catchy melodies.
Hasni Arctrace has been in the music industry in Singapore since the age of 16, so that's 20 years now. He plays the guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. He has been in and out of many local bands from metal to ska to contemporary pop and he is currently recording as guest musician for various local artists as drummer and doing guitar arrangements.

This is the third volume of the Dark Nights compilation and I can say it's the extremest volume of them. Industrial and Extreme Metal with elements of Steampunk, Gothic and Doom in a sequence that takes you on a trip from the noise to the symphonic many times.

From São Paulo, Emerson Olaf, the only member, has produced everything on the project, releasing the first album named Epic Church (2010). Epta Astera is a gregorian folk metal band from North Carolina. In a world of so much rote imitation, Epta Astera finds expression by hearkening back to the pinnacle of Christian musical innovation: the gregorian chant. Taking polyphonic harmonies and melismatic melodies, and fusing them with atmospheric post-metal and sundry folk instruments, the result is aggression, melancholy, and beauty.

Wipe Away is a project started in 2007 by Zarko Atanasova and Marina Atanasova, both from Macedonia. The songs are Gothic and Doom influenced and are based on Bible's Revelations book.
