Album Name: Highborn Spirit
Date of Release: March 29, 2015
Genre: Electronic
Label: CYBER10
Language: English, French, Portuguese
Influences: Depeche Mode, Medieval Music, Apoptygma Berzerk, Eurotrance
Cover Art: Taken by the Romantic artist Anton Melbye, the art is named "Ships at the Sea" (1867)
Other details: The album was produced with very simple equipments and no pitch software were used for voices or back vocals, which were all recorded by Emerson Olaf. Voices or choir samples neither were used.
Artist Comments: "I consider this a simple album technically saying, but an album full of ideas replete with applied philosophy coming from a view of the world which take its roots on traditionalist conservatism. Regarding genre and style, the general result of Epic Church if one mix up all its songs would be a kind of medieval Depeche Mode in an Euro-Mix. The project might be placed on Synthpop or even Electro-Rock, maybe the so called Futurepop and there is still a less used tag named Medieval-Electro in which we would fit. Highborn Spirit is clearly an escape from the liberal modern world, a return to old values, at the same time not denying technology, because if we did so, we wouldn't be here on internet publishing electronic music."

Track 01: Benedicamus Domino
Composer: Anonymous (medieval)
Style: Medieval-Electro
Illustration: Santuário do Bom Jesus de Iguape, Iguape, São Paulo by Emerson Olaf (2014)
About: This is a kind of industrial version for a Christian medieval song.
Lyrics: Instrumental
Epic Church - Benedicamus Domino

Track 02: Memories and Dreams
Composer: Emerson Olaf
Style: Electro Rock
Illustration: Häme Castle, Hämeenlinna, Finland by Emerson Olaf (2009)
About: The dreams of your past are the real ones, dreams of an innocent heart not influenced by cruel reality of modern adulthood.

Would the dreamer in you
Be proud of what you've done,
Be proud of what you are today?
Treasures of yesterday buried too deep
The real essence is now lost

Memories, a reviving of the past, getting back to golden times
Remembrances of dreams to save us from despair
Memories and dreams

Welcome to a rotten world
Where vanity is the key
Where selfishness is the main rule
Empty minds, liberals
Heading to destruction
An inevitable collapse

Take us back to a world
Where values build a noble man
A light for tomorrow

Epic Church - Memories and Dreams

Track 03: Counter-Revolutionary
Composer: Emerson Olaf
Style: Electro Rock
Illustration: Monument for Frederick Augustus II of Saxony in Dresden by Emerson Olaf (2009)
About: This song is about the struggle of the young people with the degrading status of the current society. Those young people are more and more searching for the traditional values, which are a solid base for life.

All we say, all we do makes us what we are
A better choice, the hardest move
You have to sacrifice

The modern beast of selfishness
Lies and says you're free
But deep inside you really know
The way you have to be

All feelings in your heart; All memories that you've got
The gift you must hold dear: The existence of your soul

Trials to be alive
To fly against the wind
It is hard to keep the fight
Opposite the world
Material thoughts to break the faith
You ought to resist
The Truth is there for you, you know it
Epic Church - Counter-Revolutionary

Track 04: Belle Qui Tiens Ma Vie
Composer: Thoinot Arbeau
Style: Medieval-Electro
About: The difference of making this version for a medieval song was that this song is in French, but at the end I manage to sing the first verse and put it in an Epic Church style.
Illustration: Château Grimaldi, Antibes, France by Emerson Olaf (2009)

Lyrics: (only the first verse of the original)
Belle qui tiens ma vie
Captive dans tes yeusse,
Qui m'as l’âme ravie
D'un sourire gracieusse,
Viens tôt me secourir
Ou me faudra mourir.(bis)

Epic Church - Belle Qui Tiens Ma Vie

Track 05: Endlessly
Composer: Emerson Olaf
Style: Gothic Synthpop
Illustration: Emerson Olaf (2013)
About: I see an influence of the gothic synthpop of the 80's in Endlessly, the lyrics are profound and self-centered, typically romantic.

The World you feel
That you are set apart
nothing can heal
nothing satisfies
Your hopes, your thoughts
Are always far away
Misplaced, mistakes
All I see

Endlessly I will be
So distant in a dream
I might see I might find
The destiny of my life
Then I'll raise then I'll feel
The joy of something new
It always will be with me

The fear has come
When solitude comes takes its place
The time you wish you were taken away
There is no way to adapt yourself to this world
believe, preserve your soul
Epic Church - Endlessly

Track 06: Strike The Viol
Composer: Henry Purcell
Style: Medieval-Electro
Illustration: Scotney Castle, Kent, UK by Emerson Olaf (2009)
About: When I listened to this song I knew it could perfectly fit in an Epic Church version, it has feeling and mystery, a thoughtful song.
Lyrics: Instrumental

Epic Church - Strike The Viol

Track 07: Conquest
Composer: Emerson Olaf
Style: Electro Rock
Illustration: Taken by the Romantic artist Anton Melbye, the art is named "Ships at the Sea" (1867)
About: I would say this is the main song of the Highborn Spirit album. Conquest talks about an European man centuries ago who left his life behind to have his most exciting adventure in life: going with a group of people to a new and unexplored land for the first time.

And then comes the invitation
Which would change his life forever
Invited to a journey to a new world
An enormous pain he felt while looking to his daughter's eyes
And he kissed his wife goodbye

Brave men across the sea
For the glory of the nation
By the grace of God
We shall conquer the world

Countless days at the sea
Days of chants and fellowship
Days of fights and praying on his knees
From afar is seen a piece of land in green
Is this paradise or just a dream?
Epic Church - Conquest

Track 08: Your Heart (Inverno)
Composer: Emerson Olaf
Style: Gothic Synthpop
Illustration: Hämeenlinna, Finland by Emerson Olaf (2009)
About: This song was made with a medieval melody plus composed lyrics in Portuguese, a challenging task. The result is a totally dark romantic song typical of the romantics of the 19th Century.

O anoitecer, o céu azul
A escurecer e vem o frio acolher
A alma a perecer
Na solidão, sem afeição
Do teu olhar sem atenção

O existir, sentir, sonhar
Já não é mais satisfação
Restando assim nada em mim
Que faça arder o coração.
O inverno, o anoitecer
E com o frio, escurecer.
Epic Church - Your Heart (Inverno)

Track 09: Voyage Through Space and Time
Composer: Emerson Olaf
Style: Electro Rock
Illustration: The Observatory Science CentreHerstmonceux Castle, UK by Emerson Olaf (2009)
About: A melodic and powerful instrumental song, having a clear influence of neo-classical metal. The title is sci-fi themed and this is what is suggested: the adrenaline and emotion that happens when you travel through space and time.
Lyrics: Instrumental

Pindamonhangaba Project

São Paulo, Paulista

[ENGLISH] The idea of this project is to register the music scene of Pindamonhangaba, which is a town in São Paulo. Obviously I knew I couldn't cover the entire music scene neither all its history, therefore I made a cut, I worked with 21 bands and projects of the last 10 years in the following genres: Indie/Pop/Alternative Rock, Metal and Electronic, divided in three albums:
- Pindamonhangaba Indie Pop
- Pindamonhangaba Metal
- Pindamonhangaba Electro
They are all free-download, just click on the links provided and at the bottom of the page you find a link which includes the 3 albums altogether.

[ENGLISH] CYBER10 is a net-label which publish bands and compilations always free-download and never for selling, so no money is involved in any way. The good side of no money involvement is that we can work with the bands we believe and therefore we proudly walk the contrary way of the mainstream.

[ENGLISH] Pindamonhangaba is a town in São Paulo but let's cut out the formality of other data and let's check some good and curious information about it, being the last one based in popular statements:

- Pindamonhangaba means "the place where hooks are made" or "where the river bends" in native indian language.

- Euterpe Music Corporation is the oldest marching band in continuous activity in the country.

- Pindamonhangaba must be highlighted in three important moments of History: In the Imperial times when the town served the empire with many guards, at the Paulista Revolution in 1932 when São Paulo bravely fought against all the country to defeat a dictator and during WWII when the town sent soldiers to fight the Nazis in Italy.

- Berta Celeste Homem de Melo was a woman from Pindamomhangaba who wrote the official lyrics in Portuguese for the American song "Happy Birthday To You".

- During the WWII Pindamonhangaba ended up with a concentration camp for Germans of the ship Windhuk that was captured in Santos.

- The first meeting of the UN was held by Pedro Leão Veloso, from Pindamonhangaba, ambassador in Washington.

- Tribuna do Norte of Pindamonhangaba is the second oldest newspaper in São Paulo founded in 1882 by João Romeiro.

- Pindamonhangaba is the national capital city of aluminium recycling.

Emilio Ribas, one of greatest professionals of the country in public health, was from Pindamonhangaba.

- Pindamonhangaba is better than Taubaté. ;)

CYBER10 Pindamonhangaba Metal
Pindamonhangaba have always been trying to keep a strong metal scene. Although it was already stronger in the past with Power/Heavy Metal bands and also Black Metal culture, it was possible to gather here seven songs that represent a little of the town. I must mention the curious fact that only the band Lumens is singing in Portuguese, all the others sing in English. This sequence goes to the Symphonic/Power Metal side also with Alternative/Gothic Metal and Hard Rock.

7 tracks in playlist, average track length: 5:08
Playlist length: 35 minutes 57 seconds

5. Fraktals - Dead Memories Play (5:43)
6. Soul Fire - Eternal Flame (5:59)
7. Lumens - Escravos do Tempo (4:19)

This Symphonic/Power Metal band was formed in 2005 by Alexandre Nascimento (guitar/vocals), Leandro Pimenta (bass) and Flávia Moreira (vocals). The first intention was only to gather some friends and play metal but it started to get more serious when the public reacted very positively to the project. Meyson Ramos (drums) and Julio Andrade (guitars) join the band and the self identity of Alefla is being formed. In 2012 the first full length album started to be produced with Tito Falaschi (Illustria, Symbols) at Do It! Studios, São Paulo.

Fabbio Prolungatti
Fabbio Prolungatti is a Paulista guitar player born in Pindamonhangaba. He had a main role in important local bands as dElohim (Taubaté), Soul Fire (Pindamonhangaba), Auryah (Guaratinguetá) among others. Currently he gives guitar lessons, produces bands in his home studio and works as well as a graphic artist. Apart of his free-lance works, he keeps his solo music work, which is an instrumental guitar album, planning its release for the second semester of 2015.

Helyton Camargo
Helyton Camargo is a hard rock/heavy metal vocalist and guitar player. Helyton has his solo project and as well is part of N.I.V and Shadow of Mercy.

Soul Fire
Soul Fire started in 2009 with Bi Honorato (vocals), Fabbio Prolungatti (guitars) and Meyson Ramos (drums). This great power trio released a demo EP named "Eternal Flame". With a positive message on its lyrics, covering topics as life problems, God, harmony, the band had the support of Bruno Aranha (Radio Clube) and Giovanni Machado (StudioUm) to record its first EP.

In the end of 2010, Emile Mourão (Escola Satori), Diego Santiago, Gilberto Faria and Deived Roger had ideas to start a band with a different sound, which translates the different influences of each one of them. With that vision they started doing some covers and later Gutto Guarnieri joined to play the bass. The band is influenced by various segments of the metal and rock as Death Metal, Progressive Metal, Melodic Heavy Metal, Symphonic Metal, as well as Hard Rock and Gothic Rock. The focus is on the band's own compositions and versions of popular tunes of bands as Death, Lacuna Coil, Evanescence, Dream Theater, Bullet for my Valentine, Mudvayne, and many others.

The band was founded in 2012 by Leonardo Knupp, Marcos Vinicios and William Castilho with the aim to rescue the national rock scene with a political and social attitude. Lumens is working on its first album, with influences of Heavy Metal, Punk Rock, Rock and Roll...

"Not In Vain" is a Hard Rock band from Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo. The members are Helyton Camargo at vocals, Husa Toledo at the guitars, William Vankar at the keyboards, Felipe Silva at the bass and Mateus Castro at the drums.

CYBER10 Pindamonhangaba Indie Pop

As the name suggests, this is a Pop album with open space for Indie bands. It's clear the creativity power and the quality the projects in the town can present. Two curious facts are that Ana Luísa is the only female vocalist and Ensaios Destrutivos is the only project to sing in Portuguese.

FacebookDecember Days is the alternative/indie influenced project of Diogo Peres, from São Paulo, according to the artist: Life sometimes can be heavy, dark and twisty. That was me in 2007, when a thunderstorm passed through my life, hopes and dreams, making me feel completely hopeless. Music has always been my shield from storms, that's how December Days was born. It was just an escape from everything, and now it has become everything. Enjoy as you walk through the pages of my life.

This Brit-Pop/Rock influenced band started in 2009 in Pindamonhangaba and its members are Rubens Filho, Fagner Fröes, Marcelo Moss and the french Renata Dommange, the drummer who made possible for Bristol to play in a festival in France, being among the 24 finalists out of other more than 600 bands.

Eglison Peres
Eglison Peres loves singing since his childhood, although he didn't use to sing in public. His first presentation was in a Roman Catholic Church and from this day on he started as a singer, winning a singing prize on the vocal school he studied (Music Hall). Diogo Peres (December Days), his vocal teacher and friend at that time, became his producer, even composing songs for him to record, which resulted in a full length album with 12 tracks.

Ana Luísa, a 16-year-old Brazilian girl, was in love with music at a very early stage, she plays and sings since she was 8 years old. Although influenced by American Country Music, she as well has an unique style in her compositions, which she does both in Portuguese and English language.

Gustavo Teixeira
Gustavo Teixeira is a dynamic and complete artist for he studied classical singing and sung in the Roman Catholic during his childhood. Youth Cahoot
Last FM
Youth Cahoot is an indie project made by two high school friends promising never to get in music boreness but always bring a message in their lyrics. The band releases its first demo named Noir, influenced by movies of this very genre. The production of songs is totally independent, a fact that might catch the attention of indie fans.

CYBER10 Pindamonhangaba Electro

This ended up as a very diverse compilation considering the genres inside the electronic music that are included here. It starts with electro-rock and ends with a eurodance influenced song, but you also listen to dubstep, gothic synthpop, techno...

Epic Church is a project created by Emerson Olaf, meant to blend faith and reason, tradition and technology, reality and fiction, resulting in songs full of gothic, medieval and electronic influences.

Gunstar Music
The project was created in 2006 and since that it's been 5 releases. Gunstar Music has its name coming out of a Sega Genesis game named Gunstar Heroes. One track of that game was remixed in the first EP (Ancient Ruins). On the songs it is possible to find elements of eurodance, electrorock, electro and trance.

The Morning Revolution
The Morning Revolution was created by Emerson Olaf (Epic Church, Holy Cross) and Diogo Peres (December Days), two musicians with different influences and musical directions but together for producing a song. "Destruction" is the result of this work, an electro rock song, with catchy melody with vocals of both musicians involved.

The man behind 501st is Junior Vieira, from Pindamonhangaba. He produces his own songs as well remixes of other songs in Trap and Dubstep.

Saulo Silva (SS) produces his songs influenced by Psy and Trance music in general, using different kinds of continuous beats so he can make his tunes more original.

"No so fast, not so slow, not so heavy, not so soft. We search for the perfect beat". This description was given by the two DJs Clayton and Denis who form Wonderloud. The duo was initiated in 2014 and aims to take the electronic music scene to the country-side of São Paulo.
